Christy McIntosh-Newsom, Director

Christy is a professional actress (appearing Off-Broadway, regionally, and on national television), voice teacher and audition coach. Her students have appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, regionally, locally and on national television and feature films. Christy is proud to have helmed BTC Jr. (which then merged into DCT Jr. at the Downtown Cabaret, where she serves as Associate Artistic Director). In her tenure with these programs and Summer Stage, she has produced "Schoolhouse Rock Live!," "101 Dalmatians," "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," "Hairspray Jr.," "Rapunzel Jr.," "Into the Woods Jr.," "Princess and the Pea," “Bye Bye Birdie," “Singin’ in the Rain Jr,” “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” and “Annie Jr.” She was also an instructor for the Playhouse on the Green summer program, Project Broadway, Coleytown Middle School, and Broadway 101 for the Trumbull Youth Association. She has taught workshops and classes for children for Curtain Call in Stamford (where she also directed SYT's "Alice in Wonderland Jr.") and the Bijou Theatrein Bridgeport. As a resident director at the Cabaret, she has directed “The Hunchback of Norte Dame,” "In the Heights," "Hairspray," "Memphis," "Little Red Riding Hoods," "Fancy Nancy," "Princess and the Pea" and "Rapunzel." For BTC, her directing credits include "Thoroughly Modern Millie", "Dreamgirls", "Next to Normal", "Hairspray" and "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever." She is also proud to have appeared as Eva Peron in DCT's "Evita" last year opposite Lance Gray. Christy is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association and SAG/AFTRA. 

Chelsea Dacey, Director "Frozen Jr", Choreographer "Jacklyn & Hydi"


Chelsea Dacey is an actor, singer, dancer based in CT. She has experience both Regionally and Off-Broadway. Her teaching experience expands from toddler dance to college prep in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre and more. She is a graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy with a degree in Theatre. Her most recent teaching skills include private lessons, teaching at various preschools and elementary schools, Children's Company 101, Broadway 101, and Musical Theatre Dance at the Cabaret. Some Assistant Director credits include "Annie Jr”, “Singin in the Rain Jr”, “Into the Woods Jr", "Bye Bye Birdie Jr", "School House Rock Live Jr", and "Once on this Island Jr." Choreography credits include “The Marvelous Wonderettes”, DCT Jr. Rising Stars, "Cinderella," "The Wizard of Oz," and Mr. North Haven Pageants. Her performing credits include Daisy Buchanan in "The Great Gatsby," Nancy in "Fancy Nancy," Crissy in "Hair," Amber in "Hairspray," Anna in "Spring Awakening," Suzy in "Marvelous Wonderettes" , Chelsea in “Beehive” and more! Lance Anthony, Playwright “Jacklyn & Hydi”


Lance is excited to be a part of the third summer with this group after Choreographing as well as writing “Beach Party 5000 B.C.” and "The Emperor's New Clothes" with Composer Clay Zambo. He was part of Downtown Cabaret Theatre's Children's Company for 16 seasons. He started as a costume assistant, auditioned and was cast (and has appeared in all but two of their productions since 2010), and is now one of their director/choreographers. Additionally, for the past four seasons, he has been the director and choreographer for the Bridgeport Theatre Company/DCT Mainstage productions "Little Shop of Horrors" (2013), "Hair" (2014), "American Idiot" (2016) and this season's "Amadeus". He was also one of the writers for BTC's Playathon. He welcomes the chance to bring his experience to Fairfield Summer Stage, and looks forward to working with these amazing kids and staff.

Clay Zambo, Music Supervisor

Clay’s writing has been produced in New York, London, and elsewhere, including "Windjammers," "Greenbrier Ghost," "Lost in Staten Island," "Shlemiel Crooks," the BTC Playathons and "CJ: the Musical," and earned him BMI’s Harrington Award for Creative Achievement. A faculty member at the University of Hartford/Hartt School, Clay has been part of the BTC family since 2011, supervising music for "Amadeus," "A Chorus Line," "Evita," "Fiddler on the Roof," "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "next to normal," and "The Music Man"—and where, during intermission of "A Few Good Men," Melissa proposed to him. Now a very happy newlywed, Clay is also a pretty good cook, a lover of TV game shows, and a runner.

Eli Newsom, Executive Producer


Eli serves as Executive Producer of Fairfield Center Stage, and has been an active director and music director in Fairfield County since 2010. Recent Directing or MD credits include: Les Miserables, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, James and the Giant Peach, Phantom, In the Heights, The Addams Family, Spring Awakening, A Chorus Line, Hairspray, American Idiot, and Evita. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, after many years in non-profit and professional theatre as a singer/actor/dancer, he eventually discovered he prefers directing and producing. Eli lives in Fairfield with his wife Christy, son Carlson John, and two dogs.
